Billie Stredwick, MA, LCPC, NCC

I was raised in the Bozeman area and growing up in such a beautiful place taught me early on the value of solitude, self-reflection, and the healing power of nature. Those formative years instilled in me not only a deep love of the outdoors, but also a strong sense of empathy for the unique journeys each of us undertake.

I earned my Master’s of Professional Mental Health Counseling from Lewis & Clark Graduate School, where I immersed myself in evidence-based practices, multicultural frameworks, and trauma-informed care. I have had the privilege of working in community clinics to refine my skills in individual therapy, group facilitation, and crisis intervention. These experiences solidified my commitment to meeting clients exactly where they are and to adapting my approach to honor their individual strengths and concerns.

I believe that therapy is a collaborative partnership and I bring warmth, compassion, and curiosity to every session.   My approach is integrative: drawing from multiple modalities to tailor each session to your goals, pace, and cultural background. I’m passionate about helping you build resilience, develop healthy coping skills, and discover the inner resources you already possess.

When I’m not with clients,  I spend most of my time with my family and prefer to be outdoors or curled up with a good book. Whether spending time in nature or escaping into novels, I find that I’m continually inspired by stories of growth, perseverance, and transformation. I believe these passions inform my work—reminding me that healing can be both an adventurous journey and a quiet, reflective process.

Every person I meet has a distinct story, background, and set of values and I am dedicated to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where your voice is heard, your experiences are validated, and your goals are honored. If you’re seeking a counselor who will respect your individuality, celebrate your strengths, and walk alongside you through life’s challenges, I would be honored to accompany you on that path.

My Approach to Counseling

I am committed to creating a compassionate, collaborative space that honors your unique experiences and inherent wisdom.

My approach is fundamentally person-centered, which means I see you as the expert of your own life, with the innate capacity for growth, healing, and self-understanding. By integrating evidence-based practices tailored specifically to your needs, we'll work together to explore your challenges, strengths, and goals.

I believe that trust is the foundation of meaningful therapeutic work - a safe space where you can be fully authentic, vulnerable, and honest without judgment. My role is to support you in discovering your own insights, strengths, and pathways to change while offering tools that help you to do so.

Through our collaborative process, you'll be empowered to make intentional choices that align with your values and desired life direction. Together, we'll create a supportive environment that respects your individual journey, celebrates your resilience, and helps you develop deeper self-awareness and personal agency.

Stredwick Counseling uses a secure and confidential telehealth platform to provide a compassionate and safe space for all individuals to promote healing and growth.
